Hello Grizzly Families,

We hope you have had an excellent weekend and are rested and recharged to take on a full week of school!

Below we have included a few updates/reminders and noted some upcoming important dates. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. 

Athletics

Boys Soccer:

Congratulations to the boys who made it on the soccer team.  The roster is posted on the PE Bulletin board.  Our first practice is Monday after school, come prepared with shin guards and athletic wear.  Sports fees, jerseys, and schedule will be communicated at a future date.

Cross Country

• Cross Country practice Tuesday and Thursday at lunch.
• Cross Country meet Wednesday 4:30 at Stanley Park

Basketball

• Girls and Boys Basketball Meetings and Tryouts begin this week - Grade 6 - 9
• Basketball Season: Sept 11 - Dec 1 (if teams make it to the city championships)
  • Girls: 
    • Meeting Monday at start of lunch in Rm 27
    • Tryouts: Tues, Wed, Thurs  4 - 5 pm
    • Team practices will be afterschool
    • Games are mostly on Thursdays and a few Tuesdays
  • Boys:
• Meeting Monday at start of lunch in the gym
• Tryouts: Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri 8 - 9 am
• Team practices will be mornings
• Games are on Wed evenings

Lost and Found

We have already seen a high number of clothing and uniform items left behind or lost over the past few weeks. Please make sure to label your children’s clothes and belongings as best as possible so we are able to return them to the rightful owner.
