Hello Grizzly Families,
We hope everyone has had an excellent weekend!
Below we have included a few updates/reminders and noted some upcoming important dates. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Bus Driver Appreciation
May 6 is School Bus Driver Appreciation day, if your child is a bus student please remind them to give their driver a big thank you for all the work they have done for them this year!
Minecraft
This year's Glamorgan School Minecraft Club — Level Up Calgary 3.0 had 70 students sign up. They met weekly online from home at 5 pm every Tuesday for 6 weeks with Mrs. Schmidt. There were two design challenges this year within the Level Up Calgary 3.0 world. We had two winning designs that will be going on to the finals within the entire CBE! Power Squad Adrian (gd 1) and Ryan (gd 3) (team submission) and Adneen Z. Congratulations on a job well done! There were many amazing submissions this year. Also a special thank you to Ms. Schmidt for making this opportunity happen for our school and students!
Science Fair
The Glamorgan School Science fair was an incredible success with over 35 projects being entered. The school was then able to send 17 students to the Calgary Youth Science Fair where our students came home with two gold, six silver, two honorable mentions and one student winning a director award! Thank you to all of our students who participated in the science fair and congratulations to everyone on their hard work and success! Special thank you to Mr. Rip and Mr. Klaassen for organizing the science fair and supporting our students throughout the entire process.
Newsies Play
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the Newsies play this past week! After many months of hard work, the students performed a phenomenal show. We would like to thank everyone who was involved in making this production happen with a special thank you to Ms. Bosnak, Ms. Harker and Ms. Raj for their dedication this past year.
