Healthy Hunger Food Safety Update

  • In accordance with Alberta Health Services for food safety compliance in please make note of the following: If your child was absent from school the day that our Healthy Hunger lunch is delivered, the school office will keep it in the fridge until the end of the following day to avoid any risk related to food safety. If the food is not picked up by the end of the following day, the food will then be disposed of. Please note it is parent responsibility to notify your child to come to the office the next day to pick the order.
  • Please also remember to check your emails for confirmation when ordering fun lunches from Healthy Hunger. If you did not receive a confirmation email from Healthy Hunger, the order did not go through. We had several students without lunch this past week as their parents thought they had ordered pizza via Healthy Hunger but unfortunately there was no paid order placed.

Free Youth Sports Program

  • Please see the attached flier below regarding a free summer program for students under 18 years old. The program is offered by an Australian Football club based out of Calgary and will be offering sessions every Thursday from 6pm-8pm at A.E. Cross School. This program is coached by members of the Australian Football Canadian Women's National Team. This is a great opportunity for students to receive mentorship and guidance from the best in the country. The program will conclude with the participants playing a game at the halftime of the AFL Alberta Club team Stampede Cup tournament on July 6.
