The Grizzly Update Jan. 22-26 | Skating Week, Artist in Residence, Minecraft Club, Webinar

Hello Grizzly Families,

We hope everyone has had a great week and that you were able to stay warm despite this cold snap we have experienced!

Below we have included a few updates/reminders and noted some upcoming important dates. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Skating Week is here! January 22 - 26!

  • Please look for a school messenger that was sent home last week with information as was a parent letter and consent form that need to be returned on Monday if not done already.  Students are reminded to bring their own skates and CSA approve hockey helmet if they have one.  Skates transported on the bus must be in a closed bag.  We are still looking for parents with volunteer clearance to help out.  Information regarding the times and volunteer jobs we need filled can be found at the link below.  Volunteers will be asked to fill out the Skating Week Volunteer consent upon arrival at the school.
  • Glamorgan Skating Volunteer Sign-Up 2024

Chantal aims to entertain, engage, enlighten, educate, and inspire everyone she meets. The work she will do with each grade will be adjusted based on each teachers  goals, themes, and where they are within the curriculum. We are very excited for this opportunity!

Minecraft Club Returns!

It's back! We will be starting up the Glamorgan Minecraft Club online from home on Tuesday, February 27th from 5-5:45pm.   We will meet online using Google Meet on Tuesdays until April (spring break interrupts a bit of this).  This is for students in grades 1-9.  Please see the attached slide show on how to join the club and get started with Minecraft Education Edition to practice a bit ahead of time if you are new to it.
