The Grizzly Update: November 3–7, 2025

Happy Friday, Grizzly Families!

This week marked our first few days back with students, and it was wonderful to see everyone again. Today was extra special, with many students showing off creative Halloween costumes, while others celebrated Be You Day in their own unique, casual outfits.

Picture Day

Picture Day has been rescheduled and will now be held on November 17, 2025. Our Photo Retake Day will take place on January 12, 2026. If you’re able to volunteer on November 17th, please sign up here: https://signup.com/go/VeXRYmO.

As a reminder, all students should be dressed in their formal uniform for Picture Day.

Grade 2 and Gr 4 Families: Alien In-Line Skating Rescheduled

We are so pleased to send out the rescheduled dates for the In-Line Skating program for our Gr 2 and Gr 4 students. On Dec 17, 18 and 19, Alien In-Line will be back at Glamorgan. Please see the schedule posted below for your student's days and class times. The Gr 2 classes are just starting their lessons, so you will see all 3 of their lesson times. The Gr 4 classes have either 1 or 2 lessons to complete.

We are again looking for parent volunteers to help with students in putting on and taking off their equipment so they can maximize their learning time. Please use the following link to sign up in the various time slots.

Grade 9 Halloween Fundraiser

The Grade 9 Leadership class is hosting a fundraiser for their Grade 9 Farewell! They’re raffling off five Halloween-themed Squishmallow stuffies. We’ll begin collecting entries from Friday, October 31st until Thursday, November 6th. The draw will be completed on November 7 and all winners will be notified at that time. Each entry costs $1, and students may enter as many times as they’d like (e.g., $5 = 5 entries).

Please note, this is a raffle, meaning a maximum of five students will win. Entry into the draw does not guarantee that your child will receive a Squishmallow.

Remembrance Day

Next Friday, November 7, we will be holding an adapted Remembrance Day Assembly. Students who are in cadets or similar programs are welcome to wear their uniforms for the day. All other students must wear their formal school uniform.

Due to the nature of this adapted assembly, we will not be able to have guests or families attend this year. We appreciate your understanding as we ensure a meaningful and respectful ceremony for our students.

Parent Council Meeting

Thanks so much to everyone who was able to attend the virtual parent council meeting on Wednesday night. Our next parent/school council meeting will be held on November 26 @ 6:30 pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone then!

Glamorgan Casino Night Thank You!
