Happy Sunday, Grizzly Families!

This week was highlighted by our annual Terry Fox Run on Friday. Our students showed incredible determination and school spirit as they ran in honour of Terry’s legacy. Together, our school community raised over a thousand dollars to support cancer research, an achievement we can all be proud of!

Our Grade 6 students also participated in Patrols training this week. They are preparing to take on an important leadership role in helping keep our streets safe for all students before and after school. Their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility have already been impressive, and we are looking forward to seeing them in action as the year continues!

Please see below for some important updates, upcoming dates, and dates of significance.

A special thanks to Ms. Ellsworth and our Leadership students for organizing such a meaningful event!

Connect with Other Parents in Your Grade Via Initiative of Glamorgan School Council

Dear Parents/Guardians at Glamorgan School,

Glamorgan School Council is super excited to set up a Parents/Guardian list for each grade for the 2025-26 school year to make our school community stronger.

This online directory will help in coordinating amongst parents of the same grade for special days and events, car pooling, answer any questions or help with organizing events out of the class, such as birthday parties and playdates.

Opting in this directory is voluntary and all information will only be shared with other parents in the same grade.

Visit link here. Let us know if you have any questions!

Glamorgan Casino Night

Hello Glamorgan parents!
Are you looking for a fun and creative way to spend time with your friend or spouse? Do you also want to help your kids by raising money for their school?
We're here to tell you that there is a place and date where you can enjoy the company of others, and also get TWO FREE MEALS, in the bargain!!! And by showing up to this place, your child can also benefit from new initiatives at the school. Amazing, right?
What are we talking about? It’s the Glamorgan School Casino Event! The Glamorgan School Fundraising Society will be volunteering at the Elbow River Casino on Friday, October 10 and Saturday, October 11, 2025. All you have to do is sign up, and the rest will be taken care of.
You heard it! Show up for a fun day/night on October 10 or 11, and help bring in $$$ for the school. What a win-win! It’s the best bang for your buck! Or should I say, time!
Imagine… you can be a part of bringing in $60,000 to the school and have a jolly good time while you're at it. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and the money we earn lets us contribute to learning at Glamorgan by funding things like technology, sports equipment, music programming, and art supplies.
The best part is that this casino event has a weekend day (Saturday).
Anyone can volunteer. Extended family and friends are welcome. No police clearance required. No experience or qualifications required. Other than being older than 18 of course. But let’s face it - if you’re reading this, you already meet that one requirement. And don’t worry, there will be professional advisors to walk you through everything. You won’t even be directly involved in the gaming. Just doing cool things like counting money and bringing chips to the table!
So what are you waiting for? Grab your friends and family, and sign up NOW
