Good afternoon Grizzly Families!

This week at Glamorgan we hosted our first Parent-Teacher Conferences of the year. We were so excited to see so many families both in-person and online and had some excellent conversations about student learning. Thank you to all of the families who were able to attend!

Please see below for some important updates, upcoming dates, and dates of significance. We wish everyone a wonderful long weekend with their families.

Scholastic Book Fair

This week we had the Scholastic Book Fair at Glamorgan and it was a huge success. This wouldn’t have been possible without the organization of Mr. Coles and the wonderful parent volunteers who showed up every day. Thank you so much to everyone who made this Book Fair a success!

Halloween at Glamorgan

Halloween will continue to be a day of learning at Glamorgan School. Students are welcome to wear their costumes. We encourage students to wear their costume over their regular clothes or bring a change of clothes in the event that they become uncomfortable or find that it interferes with their activities like Physical Education or outdoor play. The guidelines for costumes are:

No weapons.
No masks - faces must be visible.
No fake blood/gore with Halloween face makeup
All costumes should be culturally sensitive to all religions and races
Wear at your own risk, the school is not responsible for lost costume pieces or any damages, please talk with your students about remembering to bring all their costume pieces home with them for the evening as the school will be closed at 4:30pm

Staff Appreciation Dinner

Thank you so much to every family who contributed and brought food for the staff appreciation dinner yesterday. The food was amazing and our staff was so appreciative of all your efforts! Also, a big thank you to the Staff Appreciation Team on Parent Council for organizing the meal.

Practice Wednesday at 8am

Games Tuesday at 4:00pm and 7:00pm at Mount Royal School, 2234 14 St S.W.
