Good afternoon Grizzly Families!

This week at Glamorgan School brought plenty of snowy fun! Students enjoyed spending time outside in the fresh snow, while our Junior High students took advantage of an exciting opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with a variety of professionals at the career fair.

Winter Festival and Winter Concert at Glamorgan

We’re thrilled to invite you to two exciting events this December! Join us for the Winter Festival on December 12, 2024, a celebration for all Kindergarten to Grade 5 students. Then, mark your calendars for the Grade 6 to 9 Band Concert on December 19, 2024, where our talented students will take the stage. We warmly welcome all families to attend and be part of these joyful winter festivities!

Holiday Cheer

At Glamorgan School, we understand that these have been particularly challenging times for many families. With that in mind, our School Council, together with our school community, is reaching out to ask for your support in making this holiday season special for everyone. Purdy’s Fundraiser

Just a friendly reminder—the deadline to place your orders for our Purdy’s fundraiser is coming up this Monday, November 25! All proceeds go directly toward supporting our classrooms. Stock up on holiday gifts while making a meaningful contribution to your school community! Please see the flyer for more information.

Healthy Hunger

The next Healthy Hunger order is a special fun Cookie from Out of Chaos Cookies deadline to order is Dec 1 at midnight, students will receive the cookie to enjoy on Dec 6!

Athletics Update

Wrestling

All practices will take place at A.E. Cross School, 3445 37 Street SW, Calgary, AB T3E 3C2.

Practice Monday from 4pm to 5pm

Practice Wednesday at 8am

Practice Friday at 8am

All wrestlers need to hand their forms into Mr. Howey to participate in the upcoming quads. The first quad is December 4 from 6:15pm to 8:30pm at Ernest Manning High School, 20 Springborough Blvd SW, Calgary, AB T3H 0N7.

Debate Team Update

This past weekend, four talented students from Glamorgan proudly represented our school at a debate tournament featuring participants from across Alberta. A big congratulations to Farida and Tejas for an impressive performance! A special shout-out to Yousuf and Sabeeh for earning third place in the Junior Beginner category—an outstanding achievement for our school. Well done, team!
