Grizzly Update June 9-13 | Uniform Sale, Be YOU Day, Volunteer Registration

Happy Monday, Grizzly Families!

It’s been another full and fantastic week at Glamorgan! Our students spent some time at Heritage Park, starting with our Grade 7 students who took part in a memorable and enriching field trip filled with hands-on learning and historical exploration. Later in the week, our dedicated Glamorgan Patrollers were celebrated at the annual Patrol Picnic, recognizing their commitment and leadership throughout the year.

We also had the pleasure of hosting our annual Volunteer Tea, where we welcomed many of the incredible volunteers who support our school community. Guests enjoyed student performances and heartfelt appreciation for all they do.

Used Uniform Sale and Donation Request

As we prepare for our upcoming Used Uniform Sale on Thursday, June 12 at 4:30 PM, we are reaching out to kindly ask for any gently used uniform donations you may be able to contribute. Our stock is currently running low, and your donations go a long way in supporting other families in our community. Donations can be dropped off at the school office during regular hours.

The Used Uniform sale will take place in the gymnasium beginning at 4:30 pm. We ask that all families interested in attending line up outside the gym entrance and do not come through the main office.

Be YOU Day and Casual Wear

Thanks to the amazing support for our Spelling Bee, an additional week of casual wear has been added to the end of the school year. This means that for the final two weeks, starting Monday, June 16, 2025, students will be permitted to wear casual clothing instead of their uniforms!

Please ensure that clothing is school-appropriate and allows students to actively participate in their learning until the last day of classes.

Additionally, our final Be YOU Day will take place on Friday, June 13, 2025. We look forward to celebrating this special day with all our students.

Volunteer Registration

Volunteers play an essential role in creating a strong and connected school community, and we are so grateful for the time and energy our Glamorgan volunteers contribute each year!

As we approach the end of the school year, we want to remind families about the process for becoming a registered volunteer with the Calgary Board of Education (CBE). Whether you're looking to support field trips, classroom activities, or school events, volunteers must complete both a Volunteer Registration Form and receive CBE security clearance.

Important Reminders:

The Annual Volunteer Registration Form is valid for the current school year only.
This means all volunteers will be required to complete the annual registration form again at the beginning of the next school year.
All volunteers must complete this form every school year, even if their security clearance is still valid.

How to Register:

Parents and guardians can complete the volunteer registration form online through their MyCBE account.
Members of the community who do not have a child in the CBE system can also volunteer by creating a SchoolEngage account.
