Happy Saturday, Grizzly Families!
It’s been another busy week at Glamorgan. Our Grade 6 and 9 students completed their second Provincial Achievement Test and are now preparing for the remaining assessments next week. Despite the smoky weather keeping us inside, our students persevered and had a great week. With just two weeks left in the school year, excitement is building as we head into the final stretch.
Please see below for some important updates, upcoming dates, and dates of significance.

School Garden(s) – Watering Volunteers Needed
We are looking for 9 families from the school community who are willing to volunteer for one week of watering duty.
This means coming to the school at least three times during your assigned week to water the flowerbeds and run the sprinkler for 20 minutes.
You can come at whatever time is most convenient for your family. It’s a fun and easy way to support our school! Your children can help with watering and enjoy the playground while the sprinkler runs or even run through it on hot days!
Please note: Only adults may turn on the water tap, as it requires a water key/wrench, which will be provided in your watering kit. Kits must be returned to the school in September.
A training video link and instructions will be included in a labeled Ziploc bag.
Each visit (including setup, watering, and clean-up) takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes, and you’ll need to do this three times during your week.
Staff Appreciation Lunch
The Staff Appreciation Lunch was an absolute highlight this week! From the delicious food to the thoughtful setup, every detail made our team feel recognized and cared for. We’re so grateful to everyone who contributed their time, energy, and generosity to make it such an enjoyable and uplifting event. It truly reminded us how strong and supportive our community is.
Be YOU Day and Casual Wear
As mentioned in the last week’s “The Grizzly Update”, an additional week of casual wear has been added to the end of the school year. This means that for the final two weeks, starting this upcoming Monday, June 16, 2025, students will be permitted to wear casual clothing instead of their uniforms.
Please ensure that clothing is school-appropriate and allows students to actively participate in their learning until the last day of classes.
Used Uniform Sale
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated uniforms for our Used Uniform Sale this week. Your generosity made a big difference, and we were so pleased to see many families in attendance. We truly appreciate your support in helping our school community!
