Happy Friday, Grizzly Families!

After a well-deserved long weekend, students returned ready to take on the week! Despite the chilly temperatures, they powered through with determination, and we ended the week with warmer weather and plenty of smiles! It was an exciting week of learning and fun, highlighted by the SoundKreations dance residency, which had students fully immersed and having a blast. Our students continue to impress with their creativity, resilience, and enthusiasm.

Pink Shirt Day – February 26, 2025

Pink Shirt Day is observed annually in Canada on the last Wednesday of February to raise awareness about bullying prevention. The initiative began in Nova Scotia in 2007 when students David Shepherd and Travis Price witnessed a classmate being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. In response, they purchased 50 pink shirts and encouraged their peers to wear them in solidarity, sparking a nationwide movement.

Recognized across Canada and in other countries, Pink Shirt Day promotes kindness and inclusion, particularly in schools and youth settings. Students at Glamorgan School are invited to wear pink shirts on this day to show their support for the anti-bullying cause!

Please note: Students who choose not to wear pink will be required to wear their uniform for the day.
