Dear families, 

Our Winter Holiday Night is this Thursday, December 12. We have several important reminders for the evening. 

General Reminders:

• All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the school. This includes all activities and the Baking Buffet.
• Participation in the performance is an expectation of the music curriculum and TLC program.
• There is some street parking available including the bus zone (after 4pm). Overflow parking is at the Glamorgan Community Centre. There is no parking or drop off in the staff parking lot. 

Dress Code

• Students should be in Holiday clothing (sweaters, holiday accessories, hats, etc.), nice performance clothing (collared shirts, dress pants or dresses), cultural wear, or their school uniform
• No sweat pants or t-shirts please! 

Baking Buffet

• Students can bring their baking when they come to school (drop at office) or when they arrive at night (drop in room 29)
• Please include a ingredients list but note we cannot confirm that any items sold does not contain nuts or other allergens
• For a $5 cash donation, you will be provided with a plate and can choose 3 items from the Baking Buffet.
• All the donations will go to the charity Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids, a local charity that provides bagged lunches to students 

Timing

• The evening will begin at 5:00 pm (doors open at 4:50 pm) and end at 7:00 pm
• There will be optional carolling in the gym from 7 to 7:20 pm.
• We are encouraging families to come at different times to make parking easier and the event run more smoothly. The following are recommended times:
  o   Kindergarten to Grade 2 families should plan to come between 4:50 and 6 pm
  o   Grade 3 to Grade 5 families should plan to come between 5:50 pm and 7 pm
• All students need to be lined up outside the gym at their designated time (see table below) for their performance. Parents will drop their child with their teacher and proceed into the gym to watch the performance.
